The de Leon Advisory Group, a trusted name in the enterprise consulting world, is proud to announce its expansion into interactive training courses by offering its new Enterprise Cloud Foundations training program under its recently launched Cloud Learning Camp website. In just a few years, the Group has made a name for itself in the industry as a leader in enterprise virtualization and private cloud deployments by garnering clients such as Apple, Starbucks, and The New York Times. The Group hopes to translate its experience into a curriculum that will infuse other individuals and organizations with the knowledge to manage their own environments and determine which cloud solutions best meet their needs. The flagship Enterprise Cloud Foundations course will act as an entry level offering providing students with a working knowledge of the different cloud technologies and terminologies. Entry level professionals, technical managers, and even experienced professionals new to cloud will find value in the program. "At this point in the Cloud 'hype cycle', knowing what Cloud isn't is as important as knowing what Cloud is, says Lead Instructor Ernest de Leon. "We illustrate the differences and move you past the 'cloud washing' to a deeper, more meaningful understanding. This is where real value lies for the enterprise."
Unlike other offerings, strong emphasis will be placed not just on learning the principles laid out in the course, but also on how they apply in the real world. Additionally, the course will outline the key tenets of cloud versus virtualization alone. Ernest notes, "The difference between traditional IT and Cloud Computing is the ability to scale up and down in an elastic manner with your costs adjusting accordingly. This is utility computing delivered."
The course will be delivered over the period of two days and will initially be available on weekends for the convenience of working professionals. Each day will consist of three and one-half hours of instruction followed by a thirty minute Q&A period. While not designed as a certification program, all attendees will receive a certificate upon completion of the course. Those still needing questions addressed will be provided with a private email address for further correspondence with the instructors. The first two dates are available for immediate enrollment, and the first twenty who enroll will receive a 50% discount.
