ShopKeep POS has integrated a number of MagTek's MagneSafe secure card reader authenticators (SCRAs) with its leading iPad POS system. Designed to offer a multi-layered approach to transaction security, MagneSafe readers can instantly encrypt payment card data, but more importantly, they can provide dynamic payment card data which can be used to establish the card presented at the point of sale as authentic or counterfeit. This is significant because the technology works with the ordinary magnetic stripe cards already in circulation.
