Houston DWI Attorney Jay Cohen Now Accepting Bitcoins as Payment
April 29, 2013 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Houston criminal defense attorney Jay Cohen announced today that he now accepts payment in the form of Bitcoins for criminal defense services, in addition to traditional forms of payment. Cohen is the first attorney in Houston and one of the first in Texas to accept Bitcoins as payment. Bitcoins, a digital currency developed in 2008, allows payments to be made internationally and without a paper trail. Using Bitcoins, anonymous transactions may be made electronically between parties without the involvement of bank accounts or financial institutions. This emerging digital payment system provides clients the flexibility and convenience of making payments from anywhere at any time using virtually any electronic device, including smart phones, tablets and computers.
Cohen's acceptance of Bitcoins at his Houston law firm reflects upon his drive to leverage cutting edge technology for the benefit of his clients, both inside and outside the courtroom.
"Winning is our first priority. Our second priority is to make the process as painless as possible from beginning-to-end. There's nothing worse than being accused of a crime. I'll do whatever it takes to accommodate my clients' needs," Cohen said. "I'm constantly utilizing technology to enhance my practice for the benefit of my clients. That's why I've decided to accept Bitcoins. Plus, I want to be a step ahead of every other attorney in Texas."
In addition to Bitcoins, Cohen accepts traditional forms of payment as well as other forms of online payment such as Pay Pal and Google Checkout.
