500 Latest Automobile Models To Go On Display At Dubai Motor Show

The 8th Middle East International Motor Show 2005, the premier biennial event for automobiles and aftermarket sectors scheduled to take place from December 12 to 16, 2005 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, is sold out, organizers Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) announced yesterday.This year the event will cover a gross exhibition space of over 45,000 square meters utilising a total of 10 exhibition halls, the concourse as well as the outdoor space at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
“With strong growth opportunities for the automotive industry in the region, every major automotive manufacturer, customiser, designer and tuner is leveraging upon the influence and pulling power of the Dubai Motor Show to increase sales and market share,” said DWTC Director General, Helal Saeed Khalfan Al Marri.
“Over 500 of the world’s latest models are scheduled to go on display at this year’s show offering an unrivalled opportunity for car enthusiasts and trade visitors to look at the widest variety under one roof,” Mr. Al Mari added.
Prominent among the exhibitors at this year’s show include: BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Maybach, Chrysler, General Motors, Ford, Ferrari, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Jaguar, Maserati, Porsche, Pagani, Land Rover, Toyota, Volvo, Volkswagen, Audi, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Peugeot plus many more. Motoring enthusiasts will be able to see the likes of the Apollo, Fornasari, DC Design, Rijck and Bufori, all of which are being introduced in the Middle East for the very first time.
The enthusiastic commitment displayed by these leading automotive manufacturers clearly illustrates the dominant position of Dubai and the UAE that enjoys one of the highest ratios for car ownership per family.
Many exhibitors have planned spectacular launches, competitions and prizes to attract an estimated 85,000 visitors from the GCC and neighbouring regions.
Visitors to the Dubai Motor Show can see the exciting new launches, concept vehicles, prototypes, custom-built vehicles, racing cars, luxury limousines, tuners, modifiers, designers and high-performance vehicles. In addition, selected exhibitors are offering visitors the chance to book a test drive at the Dubai Autodrome to try out their next purchase.
And for those with an interest in the latest car audio/video and other motoring enhancements visitors can also get a blast of Sound Technology in the exciting “Monster Car Audio Challenge-2”.
“Contestants from all around the GCC will be present showing off their best and latest car audio equipment which sometimes costs more than the vehicle itself,” remarked Pankaj Nadkarni, DWTC International Project Manager.
Motor Parts, Accessories and MotorPlus will have one dedicated hall at the Motor Show to display the latest aftermarket trends from all over the world offering participating companies an opportunity to reach a quality audience of end users and traders in the GCC, Africa, South Asia and CIS regions.
