myGolfCoach - Statistics, analyses, training and handicap management for golfers
November 28, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Sports News
In close cooperation with the Austrian National Golf Team and the Austrian Golf Academy® the two software engineers and single handicappers Roman Rehm (Hcp –8) and Helmut Sulzberger (Hcp –6) designed this analysis tool which allows you to capture all your strenghts and weaknesses of your game. From a detailed tee shot analysis to greens-in-regulation, from hole statistics to course statistics, from bunker, chipping and putting analysis up to detailed shot and score statistics there are nearly unlimited opportunities to analyze your rounds. For the input of the scorecards comfortable wizards will assist you. Depending on how detailed you want to analyze your game you can choose between minimum input mode (only score and putts), restricted mode (score, long shots, short shots and putts) and complete mode where you choose the played club and the landing area of each shot.
myGolfCoach also offers several additional interesting features: watch your fault quota and short game analysis to optimize your training. The fault quota analysis is based on the landing area of each shot. Complex algorithms calculate estimated lost strokes and display training needs of each part of your game. You can easily generate your personal training program which is based on your fault quota and adjusted to your handicap. Detailed instructions and several photos will coach you - from warm-up to your specific training lessons.
The latest release includes a Palm OS® PDA client and a client for Pocket PC´s running Windows Mobile® 2002 or higher for comfortable scorecard input during your golf round (other versions will be available soon). The scorecards can be imported easily for analysis on your personal computer. For handicap tracking myGolfCoach supports common handicap systems of several golf associations: EGA®/DGV® (Europe), EGU®/CONGU® (UK, Australia, New Zealand), USGA® (United States) and RCGA® (Canada). These features and over 24.000 golfcourses provided with the software turn myGolfCoach into a comprehensive tool for the inquisitive golfer and an important coach to achieve your personal aims in golf.
Future updates will include additional analysis, trend statistics and a professional input mode which will track iron lengths, shot directions and much more.
A free trial version of myGolfCoach is downloadable from www.mygolfcoach.net and allows to try most of the features. The full version is available as CD-ROM or as downloadable version.
