ArtistFirst, billed as the Best New Music You’ve Never Heard, was voted a Top 15 Station by New York Music Experience. Featuring independent artists since 1997, authors and musicians alike are interviewed on their site by DJs Scott the “Z” Man and Tony Kay. Kathe Gogolewski will talk about her books and writing with Scott. Her children’s book, Tato, just released from Wings Press at http://www.Wings-Press.com, is a story about a boy who acquires magical powers and brings a potato to life. Gogolewski, a retired schoolteacher turned school volunteer, is writing a science and language arts unit to go with the book. She will pilot the program with seven teachers in the San Francisco Bay Area early next year. Since the story revolves around a boy and a lot of magic, Gogolewski will perform science experiments with the children that explain certain illusions in the story. Students will engage in story comprehension exercises such as creating wanted posters of the villain. Piers Anthony, renowned science fiction and fantasy author writes of TATO, “I did enjoy this novel, and think a young reader would too."
Gogolewski is also the author of A Promise to Keep, written under her pen name, Ann Durand and available from Double Dragon Publishing at http://www.Double-Dragon-eBooks.com. She has contributed to several anthologies and has written numerous short stories and poems. She is an editor of the Muse Marquee, and ezine for writers, an Advisory Board Member of Authors’ Coalition, and co teaches a series of audio classes on writing available from Double Dragon Publishing.
