Adcraft Club of Detroit Hosts Preview of Upcoming Fast Company Spotlight on the Burgeoning Detroit Start-Up Community

April 11, 2013 (Detroit) – With a long running tradition of providing its 1,600 plus members with opportunities to expand their knowledge, advance in their careers and give back, the Adcraft Club of Detroit announced today it will host Fast Company's senior writer, Chuck Salter, for a luncheon discussion on April 12 to preview an article on the business renaissance of Detroit. Designed to inspire a new breed of innovative and creative business leaders, the luncheon conversation focuses on the people and businesses leading the revitalization of the Detroit's business community. Led and moderated by Salter, the panel features a dynamic variety of founders from some of the area's most promising start-up companies.
Panel participants include Andy Didorosi, 26-year old president and founder of Detroit Bus Company; Dave Egner, president and CEO of Hudson Webber Foundation; and Josh McManus, founder of D:Hive. In leveraging their experience and passion, the panelists will elaborate on topics such as talent retention and how regions like Detroit can continue to attract the talent required to power a diversified business community.
"The creative community is an integral element of a resurgent Detroit," said Adcraft Club of Detroit President Sherrie Weitzman, national advertising manager, Cadillac. "This year the club has engaged in a renewed initiative to support Detroit as a center of innovation, and we're proud to host Fast Company and a panel of business leaders that are helping transform our regional economy."
The luncheon event will take place on Friday, April 12, at the Detroit Athletic Club on 241 Madison Street in Detroit. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. and the program will proceed at noon. Cost is $35 for all members, $45 for non-members and $25 for junior and student members.
