CORE ID Services Provides Free Identity Theft Services to Atlanta Job Seekers

March 29, 2013 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Atlanta jobseekers concerned about the risk of identity theft have a new ally. CORE ID Services, LLC, a Roswell, GA-based provider of identity theft recovery services, is offering Roswell United Methodist Church (RUMC) Job Networking attendees free identity theft recovery services. CORE ID's service, ARX-ID, handles the entire identity theft recovery process on behalf of the victim – sparing them a time-consuming and stressful task that many victims have difficulty successfully completing on their own.

CORE ID founder Dan Benish was inspired to provide this service after RUMC Job Networking hosted consumer advocate Clark Howard on his recent Clark Howard Primetime Show, aired Sunday, March 17th on ABC-TV affiliate WSB-TV. One audience member voiced concern over the risk of identity theft when providing his Social Security number or other personal information as part of the job application process. Clark Howard acknowledged this can be "terrifying," and stated "…the danger for you if it's not legit [is] you're putting yourself at risk for an identity thief. "

ARX-ID full-service identity theft recovery will help nationally- acclaimed RUMC Job Networking attendees combat this risk. Volunteer RUMC Job Networking leader Jay Litton said, "We are 100% dedicated to helping the job seekers in the greater Atlanta area with the top speakers and resources to get their next job. However, our efforts backfire if our attendees have to fight identity theft due to their job search activities."

Says Dan Benish, "Identity theft can be incredibly stressful for the victim – psychologists say the emotional fallout is similar to experiencing a physical assault. Fighting fraud and performing all the steps to make sure your identity is restored can take hours, and cost hundreds of dollars. Put that together with the stress and budget constraints job seekers are already facing and you are looking at an incredibly tough situation. This is our way to help our out-of-work neighbors."

Identity theft affected 12.6 million Americans in 2012 – one million more than the year before, according to Javelin Strategy and Research. The FTC ranked it the #1 consumer complaint for the past five years, after analyzing millions of consumer complaints from multiple law enforcement sources. The FTC also found government documents/benefits fraud was the most common form of identity theft in 2012, which can affect job seekers currently receiving unemployment benefits.
