Party Buzz Among Five-to-10-Year-Olds & Their Parents

Maryland can lay claim to many things, but just minutes north of Washington DC, at The Sandy Spring Friends School, it can boast the nation's biggest "aerial forest ropes park"-a "zip line and obstacle course in the trees" winding its merry way through five acres and 240 platforms, connecting some 15 different courses. Using neither electricity nor motors, it challenges visitors to climb from one platform to another, yielding satisfied smiles and victorious yells from young and old alike since the Park opened in 2010. Now The Adventure Park has added a brand new twist to this already unique experience: "The Labyrinth."

New for The Adventure Park's 2013 season, The Labyrinth is specially designed for the enjoyment of five-to-10-year-olds at reserved group events. Picture a "super playground" such as you have never seen before.

The Labyrinth is a self-contained outdoor space with numerous interconnected bridges between elevated platforms, similar to the others at the Park, only designed to appeal to the abilities and imaginations of five to ten year-olds. It can accommodate up to 24 guests. The kids all wear harnesses connected to safety lines, receive safety briefings and play under parental supervision with Park assistance. It is truly a place where the kids will be able to let loose both their imaginations and energy.

The Labyrinth can be reserved for birthday parties or other group events for two-hour periods, where the kids can climb, explore and generally have "the best party EVER!" (-Judging from responses kids have given The Adventure Park at birthday parties over the past few years.) Every Labyrinth party rental includes a Personal Park Guide to assist the group as well as reserved picnic tables. Group reservations are currently being accepted for dates as early as March 18 and extending through the Park's season into the fall.
