CHANDLER, ARIZONA (January 30, 2013) – Local non-profit Birthdays Remembered will be holding their 2nd Annual Spring Celebration and Champagne Brunch fundraising event on Saturday, March 2nd at the San Tan Conference Center in Gilbert, Arizona. The activities will include a silent auction, a penny social, a fashion show, and the brunch, which includes a "bottomless" glass of champagne with the goal of raising money to continue their mission of providing birthday gifts for children and their families who need a little help to make a birthday a real celebration. Birthdays Remembered is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization that partners with agencies serving children in Arizona to provide birthday gifts when parents are unable to due to financial restraints or for children who may be in the hospital on their birthday. Gift bags consist of a gift specific to the child's request (up to a value of $25), a new age-appropriate book, wrapping paper for the gift, and a blank card for the parents to sign. According to Founder Nan LaBrose, two distinct factors set Birthdays Remembered apart from other organizations that serve children, "Many organizations strive to ensure that children in need receive gifts at holiday time. We recognize that families struggle all year long and seek out these families needing birthday gifts for their children. We also make sure that the gifts are presented to the parents to give to their child to help them protect their dignity as they receive our help."
