"Nobody Thought I Could Do It, But I Showed Them, and So Can You!," a new book by A. Meyer, has been released by RoseDog Books.

Amy is a thirty-one-year-old woman who suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) at the age of twenty-three. At the time of her injury, Amy was teaching special education and working on her master's in education at Notre Dame College in Baltimore, MD. She was struck by a drunk driver while walking home.

Amy has had a trying and amazing road to recovery. While in rehab, her family was told she'd most likely never, walk, talk, or eat again, but Amy proved them all wrong. She kept the attitude of "I'll show those fools how tough I am." She now offers inspiration and smiles to all.

Amy volunteers and works with both special needs preschool children and others suffering TBI. She has been a motivational speaker at both state and local TBI conventions in order to help both those suffering with TBI and those caring for them. She continues to do her best to inspire and make others smile with her attitude of "it can always get better."

Although there are many things Amy still wishes to accomplish, she has the perseverance to work towards these goals as she has her previous goals. She wanted to write this book to help others who find themselves in the same position as she, her family and friends were in.

TBI introduced Amy to many new things. She finds her faith in God has increased. She's found a new love interest in a man who also has a TBI. Amy finds much joy in helping others with disabilities as well as those who are caring for or treating them.
