Homes and Villas Abroad agrees marketing deal for new property range

The lakes of northern Italy have for decades attracted foreign homebuyers, with some of the country's most desirable real estate to be found here.

Now the Italy-focused real estate group Homes and Villas Abroad is proud to announce it is significantly expanding its range of apartments and villas for sale in this area in response to demand from its client base who wish to purchase homes here.

The company has agreed partnerships with a number of elite realtors in this area to market their properties to a broader, global client base.

Homes and Villas Abroad is a one-stop shop for clients investing in Italy and has also taken on new bilingual property specialists in the lakes region to ensure it can provide as tailor-made a service as possible to its clients, drawn from across the world.

To date, languages that the group caters for are English, Italian, Russian, German, French, Spanish and Norwegian.

Marketing head Simon Llewellyn commented: "Notwithstanding the allure of regions such as Tuscany, demand for homes in the lakes area has stayed firm, especially with clients from Russia, with properties offering a lake view being most important on their wishlist. The lakes is a section of the market in which we already had covered, but we decided to actively seek further partner companies to help us in meeting greater demand.

"It is one of Italy's most alluring areas but is not as out-of-reach financially as many people think; our prices begin at about €99,000 for a single-bedroom home. Despite famous names such as George Clooney, the airline tycoon Sir Richard Branson and Donatella Versace owning expensive mansions here, there is something to suit almost all budgets."

The region's major lakes are Como, Maggiore, Garda, Orta, Iseo and Endine. There is also a very good transport network, thanks to the six airports nearby. The nearest is just over 25 minutes away in Lugano, just across the Swiss border. Three more are in Milan, all within a 1hr 30min distance, while the final pair are a little further away in Brescia and Verona.
