Cape Town Industrial Engineering Company Develops Smart Solutions

Cape Town based precision engineering company, Hans Von Der Heyde (HvdH), has recently developed world class solutions for diverse production challenges. The company has addressed quality concerns in the local plastics processing and liquor industries by designing and developing simple solutions that are low maintenance, cost effective and efficient.
"We pride ourselves on our innovative solutions, advanced technology and unique development skills, while our exceptional customer relations enables our developers to work intimately with our clients in an effort to develop, produce and implement an effective and efficient industrial engineering solution that optimises productivity and enhances profits," said an HvdH spokesperson recently.
Apart from developing a suite of machines tailored for a complete cutting production line, the dynamic engineering team has come up with clear, concise and practical answers to difficult manufacturing problems.
In the first case, quality concerns were raised by plastic components detaching themselves from the printing area of a laser printer. Due to the unresolved movement of the work piece, the consistency and incidence of print marks were affected leading to problems down the line.
HvdH designed and developed a flexible low cost guide that is permanently attached to the machine at the point of entry. The smart though simple solution enables any plastic profiles, notwithstanding shape or size, to pass through the printer with complete stability but without compromising line speeds.
In the second case, long lengths of plastic profiles were sliced multiple times due to the work piece not moving away from the blades fast enough. HvdH developed easily adjustable packing tables to allow components to automatically slide away from the cutter.
HvdH are the newly crowned pioneers of fragile machine frames conceived for a local liquor distillery. Used in the distillation process, the new generation machine frames are constructed from lightweight corrosion free aluminium profiles sourced from the versatile ALKOR aluminium profile kit developed in Germany.
Hans Von Der Heyde South Africa is the African branch of the German industrial engineering company established over 50 years ago. Although the focus is on the metal and plastics processing sectors, HvdH has the competency to develop cutting edge solutions across all manufacturing sectors.
Together with a wide range of standalone cutting, punching, slicing and coiling machines, the company offers a full bouquet of industrial engineering services including state-of-the-art machine design, automation solutions, precision tooling and conventional and CNC machining and component manufacture.
