Linux Worms: Applicure’s New Network Security Solution - TotalShield 2.0 - Protects Linux Operating Systems Against Worms That Attack The Web Server

Herzliya, Israel, November 17, 2005 — Applicure Technologies, a pioneering provider of advanced internet security solutions, has announced today that the company’s new network security product, TotalShield 2.0, provides multi-tier internet protection for the Linux operating system, without any need for updates, patches, or re-installation.

TotalShield protects at two levels against worms that attack the Web server:

• File system – TotalShield prevents installation of unidentified files, and execution of unidentified files that had been previously installed.
• Network – Even where malicious software is launched, its ability to open network connections is utterly blocked by TotalShield.
