Robert Walters global charity day raises over $8500 for Melanoma Institute Australia

Robert Walters' Australian offices raised over $8500 for the Melanoma Institute Australia as a result of its activity on the inaugural Group-wide Global Charity Day.

Each staff member paid $10 to dress down - this contribution was then 'matched' by the company - with numerous additional fundraising initiatives taking place throughout the day.

Fundraising activities ranged from a chicken nugget eating contest, swear jars, cake sales, guess the baby photo, jelly bean counter and Mario Kart competitions.

Similar fundraising activities took place in each Robert Walters office around the world, with specific initiatives and chosen charities determined locally. In total, the Group raised over £40,262 for charitable courses globally as a result of events that took place during the day.

Robert Walters Marketing Manager Steven Coxall adds, "This was our first charity day and we are delighted that our staff really entered into the spirit of the occasion. It created a fantastic buzz and atmosphere in each of our offices, with numerous pre-planned and spontaneous fundraising activities taking place throughout the day. We are very pleased that all employees donated generously to such a great cause as the Melanoma Institute, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to curing the most serious form of skin cancer."
