(November, 2005) Demeter’s Pantry, an importer of all natural and organic Greek foods, introduces new packaging for its line of eight varietal Greek honeys.

The warm reception of our raw Greek honeys at the Summer Fancy Food Show exceeded our expectations. Since then, we have worked with our partners in Greece to develop a new packaging that incorporates the suggestions of our customers and better speaks to the quality of our honeys. Our new label aims to catch the eye of the consumer and educate them about the differences and qualities of these honeys. The addition of the small size, 1.75 oz, allows the use of these honeys in gift baskets, food tastings, and various promotional events.

Demeter’s Pantry offers a line of 8 varietal Greek honeys, including wild thyme, thyme and wildflower, chestnut, pine, heather, orange blossom, wildflower, and fir tree honey. Family apiaries throughout Greece produce these honeys allowing them to ripen in the beehive and using traditional methods to extract the honey manually. This contributes to our honeys’ unforgettable flavors, aromas, and textures. We take the extra step to test these honeys to ensure that they have not been blended and that they are chemical and pesticide free.

Mission: Demeter’s Pantry imports organic olive oils, raw honeys, and herbs from Greece. Carefully selected gourmet and natural food stores throughout the United States carry our products which are certified organic or are made from 100% natural ingredients. We are committed to economic development and the preservation of traditional methods of production in rural Greece and work closely with small farmers, artisinal producers, and women’s cooperatives to help develop, market, and export authentic Greek products to the American market.
