Driving Summit Announces Website and Registration Now Open

The North American Safe Driving Summit announced today that the Driving Summit website and registration portal are now open at www.drivingsummit.org. The Driving Summit will convene May 15-17, 2013, at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona. North American Safe Driving Summit spokesperson Donna Kelley said, "We intend for the Driving Summit to bring together government, NGO, and industry representatives so they may work together to advance safe driving policies, programs, and technologies."
The Driving Summit aims to expand stakeholder support for the policies and programs that have proven to be effective in improving driver safety. The Summit will also highlight promising safe-driving technologies.
"The North American Safe Driving Summit will underscore the importance of private-sector leadership and market-based solutions to impaired, distracted, and drowsy driving," Kelley said.
Participants in the North American Safe Driving Summit will include transportation and technology executives, policy makers, law enforcement officials, researchers, academics, human resources professionals, risk management personnel, not-for-profit and community leaders.
Individuals who register before September 30, 2012, will receive a fee reduction of up to 42 percent. The Driving Summit is also offering registration discounts to students, veterans, adults aged 65 years or older, not-for-profit representatives, and groups of three or more.
Driving Summit presentations will highlight cutting-edge technologies; legislative and regulatory restrictions; governmental and corporate policies; educational and risk management programs; trends in civil litigation and liability; public awareness campaigns; tools for preventing, detecting, and measuring drug- and alcohol-impaired driving; systems and apps to reduce distracted driving.
