This greatly expands the capabilities of the Platform as a Service technology Uhuru introduced for testing in December and provides versions tailored to different customer needs. There are three forms of the Uhuru AppCloud.
"Developers want to focus on building great software in the language they prefer without getting mired in the issues of complex deployments," said Jawad Khaki, CEO and co-founder of Uhuru. "By using the Uhuru AppCloud Ready To Go service software engineers never have to worry about configuring a server again."
The Uhuru AppCloud - Ready To Go beta is now hosted on a robust US based datacenter and capable of handling significant numbers of applications and traffic. Combined with the extensive enhancements in application management tools the Uhuru AppCloud Ready To Go service is a reliable place to test applications and build prototypes.
"The Uhuru AppCloud is a welcome addition to the Cloud Foundry ecosystem, and expands choice of .NET developers who can now consume Uhuru technologies as software or as a service," said James Watters, director, Cloud Application Platform Ecosystem Development, VMware. "Uhuru AppCloud furthers the Cloud Foundry vision of providing developer freedom through multi-cloud, multi-language developer platforms."
