Your Home Studio Dot Com publishes inaugural newsletter, expands scope of Hurricane Relief

November 10, 2005 — Your Home Studio Dot Com, a tutorial website on home recording studio design, setup and operation has published the first edition of its monthly newsletter. Topics will include information on new products, recording techniques, newbie information, recording industry news and answers to member questions. The first issue has articles on audio level compression(including audio clips), pre-production issues, news from Digidesign concerning the latest release of ProTools, and new products from M-Audio, Cakewalk and Yamaha.Your Home Studio Dot Com is also expanding the scope of its hurricane relief effort by including any hurricanes for both the 2005 and 2006 hurricane seasons. Half of all proceeds from sales generated from Your Home Studio Dot Com will be donate for hurricane relief.

The blog details the recording process in a step by step manner and is currently featuring a song called "Smells Like", which consists of the lyrics from "Smells Like Teen Spirit" combined with a completely different chord progression and melody. Links to the recorded tracks are featured on the website. The blog will continue to detail the recording projects of the author's band as they are recorded.
Your Home Studio Dot Com is the brainchild of Thomas Rabalais, a home studio owner and operator in Shreveport, Louisiana. "My main motivation for developing the website was to provide some information to beginning home studio owners in a non-technical format," says Thomas.
