The Manila Bay Clean Up Run will return in July following the success of last year's inaugural event.
 
Organised and managed by the Manila Broadcasting Company, the event comprises a series of fun runs and seeks to raise money for environmental causes.
 
Funds generated by the Clean Up Run will go toward removing rubbish and pollutants from the Manila Bay area and raising awareness among Filipino citizens of the need to preserve the city's natural beauty.
 
This year's event, which is set to take place on July 15th, will feature four race distances - 3 km, 5 km, 10 km and 15 km.
 
Registration fees range in price from 400 Philippine pesos (£5.90) for the shortest distance to 750 Philippine pesos for the longest run.
 
The race will be based around the Cultural Center of The Philippines (CCP) complex and Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City, although the exact route is yet to be revealed.
 
Entrants can reach the CCP by catching an LRT train to the nearest station, Vito Cruz.
