Cascade TEK's Front Range Testing Lab Earns Accreditation from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA)

Longmont, Colorado, May 31, 2012: The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) has awarded certification to Cascade TEK's Front Range product testing lab; the test facility conducts aircraft component testing, automotive testing, marine testing, and testing for coatings, packaging, and containers.

By awarding ISO/IEC 17025:2005 certification (http://www.cascadetek.com/testing-accreditations) to Cascade TEK Front Range, A2LA recognizes the nascent test lab's internal quality system, technical staff and calibration protocols meet its stringent standards for technical competence and quality management.

"Attaining our A2LA accreditation for our Colorado testing location was a big priority for us," says Quality Manager David Bowles. "We've been hard at work to gain accreditation since opening our doors at Front Range. Even though we've successfully passed all of our customer's internal quality audits, A2LA Accreditation is the gold standard for both our Oregon and Colorado customers."

The company made several investments this year to ensure it has the testing equipment needed to make the Colorado tester a leader in commercial product testing, including:

150g – 8' arm centrifuge for crash safety tests associated with RTCA DO-160 Avionics (The 2nd centrifuge at the Colorado lab)
