Email Encryption Add-in for Microsoft Outlook uses PDF envelope to deliver email messages securely.

Encryptomatic LLC today announced the availability of PDF Postman™ version 1.2, an add-in for Microsoft Office Outlook that makes it easy to send secure email messages and files.

PDF Postman integrates tightly with Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, and 2010 (both 32 and 64 bit) to provide a simple "one click" email encryption experience for the sender. PDF Postman is a symmetric key encryption solution, so complex public/private key exchange or expensive certificate is required.

To use PDF Postman, the sender composes an Outlook email message and attaches documents to the message. To cause PDF Postman to protect the message with encryption as strong as AES-256 bits, the sender will click the "PDF Encrypt' button and then send the message. Before the email is through Outlook, the message and attachments are converted into an encrypted PDF file using a password that the sender specifies.

PDF Postman can optionally store the password for future use so the sender will not need to remember it on subsequent emails to a recipient. Passwords can be changed at any time from a list.

PDF Postman can be used in three different ways:
1. To send secure an email messages and attachments.
2. To secure the file attachments only.
3. To convert email attachments into an unencrypted PDF from within Outlook.
