Rent-A-Center Donates to 100 Black Men of South Florida

Rent-A-Center, Inc. (NASDAQ/NGS: RCII), showed its support of the community with a donation of 12 laptop computers and $5000 to the 100 Black Men of South Florida on March 16. 100 Black Men of South Florida is a regional leadership and youth mentoring organization. Together with The Fountain of New Life, a non-denominational multicultural church, 100 Black Men of South Florida will use the computers to encourage digital literacy and conduct afterschool activities.

Ellis Adger, president of the 100 Black Men of South Florida, said, "We thank Rent-A Center for its willingness to give back to the community it does business with."

With this donation, the furniture rental store continues its philanthropic "Random Acts of Caring" initiative and supports the important work being performed by the well-respected organization.

This Random Act of Caring marked the eighty-first act realized by Rent-A-Center since it started the effort in 2008 to support the people of its communities.
