A Trio of Cartels, a new book by Michael Elia, has been released by RoseDog Books.

A Trio of Cartels makes key points about America's drug wars, like why poor farmers grow drugs, up to corruption in the legal system and the government's lack of action. The characters are all different with different personalities. They all look different and dress casually rather than formally.

Unlike dark, depressing thrillers with cold, detached characters, this novel is more sensitive and positive with sympathetic, down-to-earth characters with which readers can relate.

About the Author

Michael Elia has Tourette's Syndrome and Asperger's Syndrome, a mild form of autism. A Trio of Cartels is among the first action thrillers written by somebody with these conditions, and Michael creates plots with original, down-to-earth, and sensitive characters. His inspiration for writing this novel came from films such as Clear and Present Danger and Traffic, also from cop shows like Miami Vice, Hill Street Blues, and Cagney and Lacey.

Michael lives in Berkshire in Southeast England in accommodation for people with autism. He was educated at Eynsham's Bartholomew School outside of Oxford, and then at Oxpens College, and has been in care since 1991. He has lived at his current home in Berkshire since 1997 and is receiving more education at Reading College. He has written seven novels, including four sequels to A Trio of Cartels.

A Trio of Cartels is a 110-page paperback with a retail price of $14.00. The ISBN is 978-1-4349-8762-4. It was published by RoseDog Books of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
