The POR-15 Store Introduces Self-Etching Primer

Valparaiso, IN – The POR-15 Store has just released a new primer that is believed to be the strongest and most versatile primer on the market today. POR-15 SELF ETCHING PRIMER provides perfect chemical adhesion to fully cured POR-15 Rust Preventive Paint and all POR-15 topcoats. This enables quick refinishing and recoating of any painted or bare metal surface. This versatile primer adheres well to any painted surface as well as steel, aluminum, brass, and all stainless steel surfaces. This product will provide you the freedom to finish the job whenever you have the time. This Self-Etching Primer eliminates to need to scuff up cured POR-15 or to wait for the Tie-Coat Primer to cure before applying a top coat. The Self-Etching Primer cures and can be top coated in 30 minutes!!
POR-15 is a paint-like substance used to stop rust. POR15 acts as a total rust inhibitor and rust paint. POR 15 is designed to paint over rust. It is step #3 in the simple 4-step process.

Its consistency is approximately that of paint and it has very good spreadability (one quart covers 96 square feet). POR-15 chemically bonds to rusted steel to form a rock-hard, non-porous coating that won't crack chip, or peel. It works by isolating metal from moisture. Without moisture present, steel can't rust.

Thin, covering coats are best; POR-15 will accept all paints, including lacquer-based paints. Silver contains metal filler and should be used in badly rusted, pitted areas. It will fill in holes better than Black, Clear, or Gray.

POR-15 works great as a concrete sealer and is impervious to fuels, battery acid, oils, etc., and when applied to concrete floors in shops or factories permits quick and easy clean up.
