Whether it's on land, water or in the air – there are some exciting new developments from Keycamp for 2012!Fantastic family getaways
Push the boat out on a truly unique holiday in France this year with a stay in Keycamp's brand new Lake House – just perfect for a family adventure holiday and ideal combined with a stay in a mobile home. Opening in May 2012, this magical floating getaway lets one experience a slice of idyllic life on the lake at Château des Ormes in Northern Brittany, one of the outdoor holiday specialist's most popular parcs which is packed full of activities and facilities for kids and adults alike.
If you'd rather be beach bound for this year's family getaway, Keycamp's two new coastal parcs in France and Spain are just the ticket. For sand, sea and surf in Royan, Camping Atlantique at La Palmyre is the perfect option. A lively parc in a beautiful woodland setting there's plenty on-parc to keep holidaymakers of all ages entertained, including a swimming pool, playground and even a mini farm.
Meanwhile, life's a beach at Camping La Siesta, situated in the ever-popular resort of Salou on the beautiful Costa Dorada. It's an ideal base to explore the Mediterranean coastline, not to mention a great spot for a family holiday, with the Port Aventura theme park just 15 minutes away.
Three nights starting on 28 July 2012 at Château des Ormes staying in a Lake House will cost from £552, accommodation only.
Just the two of you?
If you're a culture lover looking for a city adventure, a parc holiday doesn't have to mean heading away from the metropolis – quite the opposite in fact. For a mini break in Paris with a difference, why not opt for a spot of urban tree house chic? New for 2012, Keycamp has launched three brand new tree houses at its popular International parc in Paris, so you can combine a visit to the French capital with great value accommodation that's as fun as it is unique.
Cleverly constructed around the tree trunk and accessed via a spiral staircase, which winds magically into the forest canopy, this unusual accommodation offers a unique opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of Paris at the same time as enjoying an adventure in the treetops.
Just a 20 minute train ride from the centre of the capital, the thatched-roofed tree houses offer a spacious sleeping area, with one double and three single beds, plus a large decked terrace – perfect for a true back-to-nature experience. Meanwhile, a fully-equipped frontier tent with kitchen facilities is provided on the ground for cooking and, should the occasional night on terra-firma be preferred, it also has beds.
To combine rest and relaxation with some of nature's finest scenery, there are plenty of options to escape the crowds – not least Keycamp's new campsites in France and Sardinia. Just a stone's throw from Annecy, La Serraz offers spectacular scenery and a wonderful base from which to explore the region – whether it's on foot or bike. Alternatively, experience some of Sardinia's finest scenery right on the doorstep at Torre del Porticciolo, ideally situated within the Porto Conte Natural Park.
Four nights starting on 12 May 2012 at International staying in a Tree House will cost from £220, accommodation only.
