January 29, 2012 - On the 20th of January 2012 UKSolarpanelshop.co.uk was launched with only a couple of solar panel installers listed in their pages. One week on and they now have thirty-three companies listed across 20 counties. An impressive start for the fledgling start-up.

UkSolarpanelshop.co.uk aims to provide the public with easy access to local solar panel installers and wholesalers. They provide a simple and cost effective marketing tool for busy independent solar panel installers across the country. Many of these struggle to compete with the larger national companies, and their dedicated teams of sales and marketing professionals.

There are approximately 2,500 solar panel installers nationwide and with the imminent cuts in the FIT (Feed In Tariff) and increased competition between companies for what will ultimately be less work, this service hasn't arrived on the scene a moment too soon. UKSolarpanelshop.co.uk will plug a marketing gap for the smaller companies instantly increasing their exposure on the Internet and placing them alongside the biggest companies in the industry.

By the end of April 2012 UKSolarpanelshop.co.uk plans to have 400 installers listed along with at least 8 of the industry's largest wholesalers. After an initial "Free to join" period of twelve months for a limited number of installers the website will operate a modest annual subscription model making their service accessible to the smallest of businesses.
