December 14, 2011 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Online coupon website Discounts.ca believes that consumers are making bigger savings than ever over the Holidays via the use of coupons. With more and more retailers looking to stimulate business this holiday season, the savings offered on coupons are at an all time high.Christina Jackson, President of Discounts.ca says:
"Shopping with coupons and finding online deals has become something that consumers have become very adept at. The Big Brands are starting to react to this and are being much more aggressive with their discounts and coupon offers this year. We expect to see offers surpassing 50% off in major retail stores this season. It makes sense for everyone during tough economic times."
Research data has shown that coupon usage is up 20% on pre-recession levels, and retailers are now switching on to the fact that it is good for business. Studies have also shown that consumers are more likely to spend if incentivised with a coupon or voucher code.
Jeffrey Strain (technorati) states:
"This coupon craze could be a good thing for both businesses and consumers… When a customer perceives a good deal and gains the satisfaction of keeping some of their hard-earned dollars, they are more likely to shop. This could mean a spark, however small, that ignites sales for small business owners in tough times still ahead."
Discounts.ca offers consumers a wide range of coupons and voucher codes for some of the biggest brands and stores across Canada and North America. With the internet now being the biggest source of coupons, they are now starting to see some huge offers coming in.
