Because of the severe damage that hurricane Wilma caused in the South Florida area, the "Ft. Lauderdale Blues and Music Festival" that was scheduled for November 2005 has been postponed until February 9-12 2006. The Riverwalk Blues & Music festival in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida will be in February. Back to its original location - on both sides of the new river, in beautiful downtown ft. Lauderdale. http://www.prleap.com/pr/12807/ Now is an excellent time to start making arrangements to attend the Riverwalk Blues & Music in Fort Lauderdale. Some changes have been made since last year’s event. The festival is now run by Don Cohen, of the musicians exchange fame, and john baker, of the Downtown Saloon. Last year, when the city of ft. Lauderdale abandoned the festival, Don Cohen, the festivals original promoter, and john baker joined forces to put on one of the most awesome festivals to date. From the way it looks, this year should even be better. This lineup would rival a W. C. Handy blues awards ceremony and a blues cruise.
