Omega Watches Launch Ladymatic Range at the Watch Hut

The Omega Watches range of Ladymatic timepieces has landed at the UK's largest watch website, The Watch Hut.

The esteemed feminine watch range is the brand's largest ever collection of women's watches and was launched earlier this year with a press conference attended by brand ambassador, Australian actress Nicole Kidman.

The new collection is a recreation of an illustrious range from the company's past. The new watches mirror the aesthetic of the original women's collection. Introduced in 1955 and continuing for the best part of a generation, the watches were the epitome of defined feminine grace of the era embodied in a series of elegant timepieces.

OMEGA Ladymatic was one of the first self-winding watches to be designed especially for women and featured the smallest automatic movement made by the company. Its name is a portmanteau created from the words 'lady' and 'automatic', succinctly describing the watches' appeal.

Now, the revived ladies watches combine stunning designs with the Swiss brand's famed automatic co-axial watch movements. The movements are amongst the best in the world and represent a major advance in accuracy and reliability. Each movement in the Ladymatic is equipped with Omega Watches exclusive silicon balance spring, an innovation that makes these timepieces more resistant to external shocks and environmental disturbances. A sapphire crystal caseback reveals the fine Swiss-made Omega Watches mechanical movement that powers the Ladymatic watch.

The watches are fully featured and the range includes diamond studded dials and a choice between steel bracelet models or sumptuous leather.

The Ladymatic line features polished 34 mm cases crafted in 18 Ct red or yellow gold or in stainless steel with a choice of polished or snow-set diamond-paved bezels. The polished screw-in crown is available set with a diamond or embossed with a superbly polished branded crown.

Academy Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman has been a brand ambassador since 2004. She will be the face (and wrist) associated with the Ladymatic line.
