PrimeSyn Lab Inc. announced that it is now registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to develop, manufacture, and sell Analyte Specific Reagent (ASR) products for in vitro diagnostics. PrimeSyn’s manufacturers ASR products, which are custom DNA probes and primers for in vitro human diagnostics.

Dr. Chaturvedi, PhD, President and CEO of PrimeSyn Lab Inc. stated, “PrimeSyn Lab’s ASR products are manufactured under Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) in compliance with FDA regulations (21CFR864.4020). We are now able to provide both high quality and ulta pure ASRs to in vitro diagnostic manufacturers.”

According to the Code of Federal Regulations 21CFR864.4020 "Analyte specific reagents (ASR's) are antibodies, both polyclonal and monoclonal, specific receptor proteins, ligands, nucleic acid sequences, and similar reagents which, through specific binding or chemical reaction with substances in a specimen, are intended for use in a diagnostic application for identification and quantification of an individual chemical substance or ligand in biological specimens."
