ESPN and SportsGraphics have partnered! This past August, Patrick Conlon (President of SportsGraphics), Jared Locke (Account Manager- New Construction), and two of Patrick's children (Andy and Shane) had the opportunity to travel to Dyett High School in Chicago, IL to assist in renovating the High School's athletic facilities. While there, Patrick, Jared, Andy, and Shane installed a new set of beautifully designed and printed safety wall pads. All of this is a result of a partnership formed between SportsGraphics and ESPN to help provide student athletes across the country with the resources and tools they need to be competitive and succeed.
When Jared was asked what the experience was like for him as a new employee of SportsGraphics Jared said, "I am so grateful that I was given the opportunity to give back to those less fortunate. It was such a rewarding experience to be part of something larger than myself and truly helps one to realize everything they have."
In fact, the entire SportsGraphics team shared a similar sentiment when asked about the experience. The morning after the initial airing of the show, we asked around for a general consensus of everyone's reaction. We were told by a number of employees that they felt overwhelmed with pride when they were able to see the student's faces during the reveal.
ESPN's Rise Up is an evocative, inspirational one-hour series that takes on the challenge of completely rebuilding one under-privileged high school's athletic facility from the ground up. Rise Up will spend time with the students and coaches in each community, uncovering the challenges facing high school athletes today, and working with professional athletes, coaches, and trainers to help motivate and inspire them to reach even greater goals.
