TWO PETROGLYPH RECORDS' ARTISTS FINALISTS IN THE INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Taos, NM – It looks like another good year for Petroglyph Records. The Taos, New Mexico-based Indy label released four CDs of Chilean music this year. An eclectic group of artists from Chile, covering genres from blues, jazz, Latin, world, and electronica, are making waves in the independent music scene. Finalists in 2006 include two Petroglyph artists. Guitar and mandolin virtuoso Antonio Restucci is up for best Latin album for his CD, Crisol. Crisol was produced by Grammy Award–winning producer Andy Byrd. Sol Aravena (Muza) is up for best Dance/Electronica album for her CD, Cambio de Estacion. The IMA is an annual music industry contest co-sponsored by Border's Books & Music to recognize excellence in the independent music industry. Winners are promoted to more than 6 million music fans and industry professionals via print, radio and online promotions.
