Some of the world's best cricketers will be travelling to Hong Kong next month to take part in the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes 2011, sponsored by Karp Group.
 
The annual event will be held at Kowloon Cricket Club during the weekend of October 28th to 30th, with eight international teams taking part in fast and furious six-a-side contests before a global TV audience.
 
Squads from leading cricketing nations such as England, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, South Africa and reigning champions Australia will be taking part, as well as a special all-star team.
 
This year, the celebrity squad will include the fearsome batsmen Sanath Jayasuriya and Shahid Afridi, fast bowler Shaun Tait, South African opener Herschelle Gibbs, all-rounder Abdul Razzaq and ICC affiliate player of the year Ryan ten Doeschate.
 
Tickets for the Friday matches can be purchased at a special price of HK$100 (£8.20) for adults and HK$50 for kids, while passes for the weekend cost HK$800 and HK$380 respectively.
 
All proceeds from the event will go to the Hong Kong Cricket Association for use in developing the sport in the region at a grassroots level.
