Coherent Interactive Releases CurateXpress Content Curation Tool
August 22, 2011 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
Coherent Interactive has launched a limited beta of the CurateXpress content curation tool (http://curatexpress.com/). CurateXpress lets those who share content get attribution in the content for the act of sharing. CurateXpress consists of add-ins for the Chrome and Firefox browser. Using the add-ins, content curators can create short-links and share content directly to Twitter. When users click on the content, they see a toolbar at the top of the page, which gives credit to the curator for sharing the content.
Readers can rate the shared content and click the curator's name or icon to see their Twitter profile. Clicking the Share button in the toolbar reshares the link, including the toolbar, to the reader's own Twitter account. The Commentary button displays the curator's comment on the shared content, allowing curators to provide analysis or insights to anyone who opens the link.
CurateXpress is currently in a limited beta release. Users who are interested in this tool can request an invite to the beta at the CurateXpress website (http://curatexpress.com) and can follow @CurateXpress on Twitter.
