Labioplasty Expert Offers VASER Lipo

A Pill Is Given To Calm Patient
Once the patient is provided a pill to relax, the specific area they want reshaped is filled with a saline solution called "tumescent fluid." This solution may help numb the site and shrink the blood vessels. Shrinking the blood vessels may minimize blood loss and decrease bruising. The fluid fills the spot to be treated and expands the fatty tissue temporarily, making it easier to remove.

Small Incisions Made
Following the injection of the solution, tiny probes are inserted through small incisions. The probes use a high ultrasonic frequency vibration, resulting with the fat cells shaking apart. "Once the fat cells are loose, they mix with the tumescent fluid," said Scheinberg, a provider of cosmetic surgery, vagina area included. "The mixture is then taken out using a delicate suction."

Recovery Period
Depending on the number of areas being treated, the procedure can take an hour to several hours for completion. Once the procedure is finished, patients are given compression garments. These may help the skin conform to the new contours. "The patient should begin to see a difference immediately," said Scheinberg. "Typically, in three to four months they will see final results."
