Mad-cap comedy duo Vic and Bob, whose online series 'Afternoon Delights' launched recently, are returning to the live stage for the first time in 15 years with Foster's Funny.Foster's, the leading lager brand that commissioned the 'Afternoon Delights' internet hit series, running on fosters.co.uk until 26th July, is hosting the hotly-anticipated live show called Vic and Bob's Evening Delights which will see Vic & Bob performing live in a series of sketches based on the new series and an appearance from a very special guest.
Despite appearing on numerous TV shows in the last 15 years, the pair have not performed on stage together in that time.
Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer said "We haven't performed live for decades, in fact we've been half dead throughout that time and very dreary. Then along came Foster's to pull us out of our torpor and place us on stage for your assessment and evaluation. We relish the opportunity and promise not to disappoint. Any queries regarding the live show should be addressed to Dr Shakamoto at Fugitsuma Film Corp. Leeds."
The one-off live show will take place on 13th August at the iconic highlight venue in Camden Lock, London and tickets are only available to win on Foster's Facebook page. Fans are invited to play Vic & Bob's 'Speedy Pants' game to be in with a chance of winning. Fans will be voting on a weekly basis on their favourite characters from the series which Vic & Bob will perform live at the event.
Gayle Harrison, Marketing Manager - Foster's at Heineken UK said: 'We are delighted that on the back of Vic and Bob's 'Afternoon Delights' series we are able to bring the comic genius of Vic and Bob to a live audience of Foster's Funny fans and the fact that they have not appeared live on stage for 15 years makes this even more exciting."
The Foster's tie up with Vic and Bob follows last year's premiere of Alan Partridge's 'Mid Morning Matters' on Foster's Funny. The latest partnership with Vic and Bob is part of the brand's ongoing commitment to support comedy and harness the power of humour to engage with consumers and build on Foster's position as one of the UK's most successful and innovative beer brands.
