The Sedona Conference® announced that it is now accepting applications for its invitation-only 12th Annual Conference on Patent Litigation, to be held on Thursday-Friday, October 13-14, 2011, at the beautiful L'Auberge Del Mar in Del Mar, California.

This year's conference will address the rapid change in many areas of patent law that has marked the past year, including the numerous, seminal opinions handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit that have changed patent enforcement and monetization landscapes and significantly altered the decision-making matrix. In true Sedona tradition, a deep dive dialogue will take place on the most important areas of change and development, while addressing the trends, discrepancies and best practices for the future.

A full, balanced and robust discussion will be led by a blue-ribbon faculty selected to bring all viewpoints to the following topics: U.S. Supreme Court and Federal Circuit Case Law Updates; Joint/Contributory Infringement; Inequitable Conduct; Patent Reform; Strategic Use of Re-examination and Re-Issue; Patent Litigation Case Management; Patent Damages & Remedies; and Settlements, License Agreements and Damages.

The faculty will be chaired by Dianne B. Elderkin of Akin Gump and Robert G. Sterne of Sterne Kessler Goldstein & Fox, and includes Leora Ben-Ami of Kaye Scholer; Jan M. Conlin of Robins Kaplan Miller & Ciresi, LLP; Tracy W. Druce of Novak Druce + Quigg LLP; Hon. Chad Everingham of the Eastern District of Texas; Brian L Ferrall of Keker & Van Nest LLP; Henry Hadad of Bristol-Myers Squibb; Hon. Kent A. Jordan of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals; David J. Kappos, Director of the USPTO (invited); Catherine Lacavera of Google, Inc.; James Morando of Farella Braun + Martel LLP; Hon. Kathleen O'Malley of the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals; and Loria Yeadon of Intellectual Ventures.

Registration is by invitation only and strictly limited to 45 participants to ensure an intimate environment for meaningful dialogue. For further details and to apply for an invitation, please visit www.thesedonaconference.org/conferences/20111013.
