Update Info Panel Added to BSC Designer PRO 4.6

One of the most important tasks is to timely update KPIs in Balanced Scorecard since late information leads to late decisions, which is absolutely unacceptable in the modern pace of running business. This especially concerns multi level scorecards employing the cascading principle. There are no problems with scheduling updates for a dozen of indicators. When the scorecards count up to 100 KPIs, it looks like a major problem. AKS-Labs team proudly announces release of a new feature for BSC Designer – Update Info Panel.

From now on, users BSC Designer can set update schedules for each indicator in order to timely update values for KPIs. This concerns both "company level" and lower level scorecards. In other words, BSC project managers will have an opportunity to control actuality of KPIs values, as well as update schedules. BSC Designer will alert users which indicators require immediate updates and which update schedules have been ignored.

We at AKS-Labs understand that simplicity of software is one the most valued characteristics for the majority of customers. That is why Update Info panel organically fits into BSC Designer interface. The new feature is enabled with one mouse click (the panel appears in the bottom, below indicators properties).

Users are free to choose any intervals (in days) for KPIs updating. Once the update interval is set, users will be alerted on the day the indicator is due to be updated, as well as when update period is ignored (two different icons will show up left to the indicator name in the BSC project).

The update indicator feature is specifically designed for owners of particularly large BSC projects, as well as managers responsible for multiple scorecards (including cascading ones) who are alerted when it is due time to update KPIs. The update information is displayed both in the Tree and Analysis tabs which makes it easy to access.
