On July 24th, competitors will descend on London's Royal Albert Dock to take part in the annual Virgin London Triathlon. Entrants must swim around the dock, cycle around the Docklands area and complete their course with a run around the riverbank in a challenging test of endurance.

Event organisers have come up with an itinerary which caters for all different ages and skill levels, from absolute beginners to those who can boast a time of under 2.5 hours in a previous triathlon event.

There is also an option to compete in groups, either with friends or family, while serious competitors can take on the 'Olympic' circuit. There is even a race plan with an extra bike lap for the more enthusiastic riders.
