Granny's Old Sayings, a new book by Joy Cope, has been released by RoseDog Books.

Even as a young girl growing up, Joy Cope would've rather had a pencil and paper than a toy.

Over the years, she has written two short stories and several poems. This is her first book.

She has taken a course in creative writing and public relations at Murray State University.

Joy was very involved in the renovation of Whitehaven, loving old things as she does. She took the first group of people through the day of the grand opening, and worked as a tour guide in the administration of Governor Martha Lane Collins.

Joy has been a member of Rosebower Baptist Church since she was fourteen years old. She taught Sunday school from beginners to senior citizens and also Intermediate GA's (Girls Auxiliary).

She is the mother of two sons, Paul Cope and Chris Cope. She also has two grandchildren, Shannon Cope and Jacob Cope, and three great-grandchildren.

Granny's Old Sayings is a 132-page paperback with a retail price of $17.00. The ISBN is 978-1-4349-8451-7. RoseDog Books of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania published it.
