Young Female Entrepreneurs Launch Pandora Marketing Consultants: Not your Typical Firm

What do Long Island companies need that isn't being provided? This is the question that ran through the minds of Founders Carrie-Anne Gonzalez of East Northport, and Theresa Weston of Islip, when they decided to launch Pandora Marketing Consultants in Bohemia. Owned and operated by two women, both under the age of 40, Pandora began with half a dozen clients and have doubled their clientele in just three months.

"There are so many marketing and PR agencies that only provide half of a full list of services," said Weston, Marketing Consultant for Pandora. "They either exclusively provide public relations services, or they only provide social media. In addition, a lot of other firms are offering graphic design and branding, but their background is in writing not design."

Realizing that by combining their experience and talent, they could bring a full range of services under one roof for all of their clients, they launched Pandora Marketing Consultants; offering both marketing and design… real design. After the launch of their website in February, Gonzalez has been featured in Patch.com for her photography, which can be found on CyanIAm.com, Pandora's sister website.

"We're operating as a large Manhattan agency, but charging our clients Long Island prices," said Gonzalez, Commercial Artist for Pandora. "As a designer there is so much that I see going on around me in the world of Long Island advertising. It's as if everyone wants to be a designer, but no one wants to go to school for it. With Theresa and I, our skill-sets and backgrounds are so different-a degree in Communications and a degree in Visual Communications- it makes us a unique team to our clients. We have provided services for clients in the nonprofit sector, the music industry, small business, professional services firms, entertainment, etc.-we have the opportunity to be creative every day because of our diverse client list."

What started in the offices of Cerini & Associates, LLP, a mid-size accounting firm in Bohemia, their work earned them awards both locally and nationally before they decided to open their own entity on the side.
