Pot Luck: A Sea Story, a new book by John Lawless, has been released by RoseDog Books.

Commercial fishing, a job John Lawless worked for many years, is usually a routine job like most, but every now and then there's a trip out of the ordinary. This is a story of an unusual trip where a group of honest, hard-working fishermen came upon an ocean full of barrels containing marijuana and how they retrieved this treasure and how it affected their lives.

Born and raised in Rhode Island, Lawless spent most of his working life on the water working as a shell fisherman, fisherman, ferry captain, deckhand, and so on. He is a former Marine and has six grown children and seven grandchildren.
