Circuit Cellar: The Magazine for Computer Applications is pleased to announce the winners of the recent M16C-based designed contest, which was co-sponsored with Renesas Technology, one of the top semiconductor companies and the #1 microcontroller company in the world. An online presentation at www.circuitcellar.com/renesas2005m16c provides visitors with access to winning entries, which include complete project descriptions, schematics, source code, and everything needed to understand the depth of design innovation for each project.
The M16C Design Contest 2005 offered designers the perfect opportunity to explore the M16C family of powerful microcontrollers. When Renesas and Circuit Cellar announced the competition to find the best M16C-based applications, designers from around the world took the challenge. In all, 20 countries were represented.
Participants submitted a wide range of projects, everything from an altimeter to an autonomous robot to a digital instrument panel. The variety and quality of the applications demonstrated not only the high caliber of the M16C/28, M16C/62P, M32C/84, and R8C/13 microcontrollers, but also the ingenuity of the projects’ designers.
The M16C Design Contest 2005 is the second competition that Renesas Technology has co-sponsored with Circuit Cellar. To view presentations from previous and ongoing design contests managed by Circuit Cellar, visit www.circuitcellar.com/magazine/contests.htm.
