Unique Internet ‘Babysitter’ To Be Released

A British firm next month releases a unique piece of software which for the first time offers parents or teachers an off-the-shelf means of ensuring their children are safe when using family or school computers unsupervised.

Requiring no technical knowledge to install and set-up, The Internet Babysitter silently monitors children’s activities online, recording the sites they have accessed and conversations they’ve had in chat rooms and ‘messenger’ programs, so that parents can be sure they are safe from inappropriate content or contact.

Parents can simply pick up the utility software from their local computer or retail stores, pop the CD in the drive of the family computer and follow the effortless installation instructions. From then on, The Internet Babysitter discreetly monitors their children’s activity for parents to review at their convenience.

“Whilst the Internet is a wonderful medium which offers a wealth of educational and social benefits, sadly there are individuals who abuse the access it offers to innocent children,” says Maryam Teherani, product development manager. “The Internet Babysitter offers peace of mind for concerned parents, ensuring their children are using family computers within parentally-defined confines.
