Unanimous Decision Selects MV Transportation, Inc. to Operate Fixed-Route Transit Service in Washoe County, Nevada

MV Transportation is proud to announce The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County's unanimous decision to select MV Transportation to operate its fixed-route RTC RIDE transit service.

Following successful contract negotiations and approval of the final agreement, MV Transportation will transition the 70 bus operation from the in-house model run by The RTC to MV's turnkey model, providing maintenance, management and operations. The RTC estimates MV's approach to save approximately $22 million over the life of the contract. MV Transportation is scheduled to begin service on July 1, 2011.

MV Transportation also operates fixed route and paratransit services for Carson City, Nevada.
