The event, slated for October 28, 2005, will be comprised of HR, training, operations and community development reps from area banks, savings institutions and credit unions. These experts will share information on the hiring, training and retention of entry-level retail employees in Greater Cleveland area banks, savings institutions and credit unions. Topics to be covered include attracting high school students to careers in the banking industry, recruiting low-income/special needs populations, and brainstorming roles for Corporate College and Tri-C.In her speech, Dr. Eagle will present the eight strategies for the guaranteed success of teller training. Her strategies include addressing your audience, defining your goals, providing multiple paths, challenging your users, incorporating feedback, and planning for the future. Dr. Eagle’s message will emphasize that, “Without excellence on the Teller line, no branch can maximize its financial success.”
The Institute for Banking, Finance and Insurance (IBFI) of Corporate College, a Division of Cuyahoga Community College, will focus on the professional development and educational needs of students, entry-level and incumbent employees and industry employers in Northeast Ohio.
