An event called I Spy - Birds of Brockhole is likely to appeal to Lake District visitors with an interest in the region's wildlife.

Taking place on Sunday April 24th and Monday April 25th, the activity session will give holidaymakers an opportunity to identify some of the birds and other animals living in the area.

A number of volunteers will be in the bird hide at the Brockhole visitor centre to help people make the most of their wildlife spotting experience.

The woodland habitat surrounding the centre is home to many different species, so attendees may even catch a glimpse of some rare birds.

Birds of Brockhole will begin at 11:00 BST on both days and is completely free to attend.

Visitors are invited to simply turn up on their chosen day to join the fun and see which animals they can spot. The event is suitable for people with limited mobility and those who are hearing impaired.

Situated on the shores of Lake Windermere, Brockhole houses an information centre, an adventure playground and a 30-acre arts and crafts garden.
