Impulse Accelerated Technologies Inc. (privately owned) today announced it received the award "2010 Best of the FPGA-based ANSI C design, verification and implementation systems" from China Electronic News (CEN) in conjunction with the 2010 World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) in China. CEN's award is in recognition of Impulse's contribution to China's data processing and telecommunication industries, especially China's engineering teams that are successfully accelerating circuits by offloading microprocessor and DSP ANSI C code to FPGAs.Each year CEN selects companies that lead the industry in innovation or have outstanding market performance in various segments of the China electronics market. The awards are determined by a committee comprised of industry and university technology experts and members of CEN's senior editorial team. Members of the selection community voted based on three criteria: technology innovation, market influence and product service.
"Impulse CoDeveloper has very powerful functions and an easy to use GUI." commented Mike Bai, President of Aldec, China. He continued "It is an ideal choice for engineers working in the areas of converting complex math/DSP algorithms to FPGA, and of quick electronics system design in China."
"We are honored to receive this award from CEN, in recognition of our tools and our steady export growth to China," said David Buechner, Vice President at Impulse. "We have been impressed at how quickly engineers in China have adopted this cutting edge technique to refactor and parallelize C code to run 10- 100 times faster in FPGA."
