This year's all-star line up included the screening of films, "Nine Lives" directed by Rodrigo Garcia and Chris Eyre's "Edge of America."

"We are working very hard to help build success stories. Each year, our network expands, becomes stronger, and more doors will open to our HatcH Groundbreakers alumni. We will continue to develop our relationships with schools and professionals and build a stronger bridge between the two," explains celebrated writer/director/photographer and co-founder of HatcH, Yarrow Kraner. This year out of 400 Groundbreaker entries (student films), the top ten finalists will be flown from all around the world to attend the festival. Those selected represented some of the world's finest film schools ranging across the map from North America, to Asia,
Europe and Australia.

In addition, celebrities scheduled to attend included Dean Cain, Thora Birch and Matthew Lillard, just to name a few. When asked about the competitive aspect of the festival, Yarrow Kraner, quotes his fellow colleague from the HatcH Advisory Board, Kobi Yamada, "Success is made of three bones. bone." In other words, follow your dreams, stay persistent, and don't lose your sense of humor.

HatcH provides the unique opportunity for emerging artists to have their work viewed and critiqued by industry veterans. This year, HatcH offers up to $60,000 in cash and prizes, along with a $25,000 scholarship award from annual contributor, Moonlight Basin.
